The concordia women's soccer team defeated msu moorhead 2-0 and clinched the #2 spot in the upcoming nsic tournament. With the win, the bears finished 6-3 in league play, their best record ever in the nsic and earned their highest seed in the tournament.

rachel flaherty (right) scored her first goal of the season and sixth goal of her career when she got a rebound shot after a flurry in front of the net on a corner kick just 54 seconds into the second half. Assists went to
sam voeller, who had the first shot off a
kyla rentch corner kick. Rentch got the second assist on the goal.

the bears will host msu moorhead on tuesday, oct. 22 at 3:00 at concordia field. It will be the third meeting between the two schools this season. They tied 1-1 back on sept. 17th.
