Concordia sophomore 
amanda behnke (left)scored a career-high 25 points and sophomore 
katie laviolette (right) dished out a career-high 11 assists as the bears ended their three-game losing streak with a 76-65 win over winona state saturday at the gangelhoff center.
concordia scored 56 of its 75 points in the paint, led by behnke, who went 11-16 (.688) from the field.  She also had a team-high eight rebounds.

ashley smith both came off the bench to score 15 and 14 points respectively.  They each contributed seven rebounds to help give the bears a 38-32 rebounding edge for the game.  
the bears were able to overcome poor free throw shooting en route to the win.  For the game, concordia shot only 7-20 (35%) from the line.  They did better from the floor, converting 33-63 (.524) from the field and 3-6 (.500) from beyond the arc.
winona state shot 48.3% in the first half and trailed 41-35 at the break, but were held to 38.5% (10-26) in the second half.  For the game, they hit 24-55 (43.6%).  They were led by molly anderson with 12 points, while amanda reimer and trya groth each had 11.
with the win, the bears move to 12-7 overall and 4-3 in the nsic, while winona state drops to 7-12 (0-7 nsic).  The two teams will meet again next saturday, feb. 4th, in winona
