Concordia (0-2) suffered a 5-0 defeat to the University of South Dakota (2-0) Sunday afternoon in Vermillion. USD's Ashley Evans scored three goals and had an assist (all in the first half), helping the Coyotes roll past the Bears.

The Bears got into a hole early when Betsy Blackler scored just one minute and 12 seconds into the match, taking a feed from Ervin and scoring.

Then came Ervin's turn to find the goal, a feat she accomplished three times before the end of the half. The first two came at 21:16 and 35:23, and the third came with one second left on the first-half clock.

Concordia did not get a shot on goal and had only six shots in the game. USD scored five goals on ten shots on goal and 26 shots in the game. CU goalie Hannah Turgerson had five saves in the game.

The Bears will host Minnesota Duluth on Tuesday, Aug. 30th at Griffin Stadium.
