No. 6 Concordia University (3-1) defeated St. Edward's of Texas 3-0 (30-9, 30-17, 30-17) and no. 5 Cal State San Bernardino 3-1 (30-27, 30-23, 24-30, 30-25) in the second day of the Minnesota Duluth Volleyball Tournament.
Against St. Edward's, 
Val Olson paced the Bears with 17 kills, while 
Jessica Lucia recorded a double-double with 14 kills and 18 digs. 
Cailin Terhaar had 49 assists.
As a team, Concordia hit .449 (56 kills and had only errors) while limiting St. Edward's to a .067 hitting percentage with only 23 kills and 16 errors.
Against no. 5 CSU San Bernardino, 
Kelsey Kyro had 18 kills, while Lucia had 17 kills with 19 digs and 8 blocks. Terhaar had 55 assists, and Meghan Graham added 19 digs.
For the match, the Bears had 64 kils and a .157 hitting percentage, while CSUSB hit .096 with 58 kills.
Jessica Lucia and 
Cailin Terhaar were each named to the All-Tournament Team. The Bears will be in action again on Sept. 2-3 at the Colorado Premier Tournament.
