Concordia broke a 30-30 tie at halftime with a 15-0 run to start the 2nd half and improve their home record to 12-0 for the season on senior night at the Gangelhoff Center, defeating Bemidji State 77-50 Saturday night.
Jennifer Pozzani led the scoring for the Bears for the second straight night with 18 points. Pozzani flirted with a triple-double, adding a team-high nine rebounds and six assists. Four other Golden Bears scored in double figures, including Carly Christensen and Nakia Carlisle, who each had 12 points. Heidi Gill and Ashley Smith each added 11 points in the victory.
The Bears end the regular season winning their last two games and nine of their last ten. The win also gives the Bears sole possession of 2nd place in the final conference standings. Concordia will host an opening round game of the postseason NSIC Tournament Wednesday night against either Bemidji State or Winona State.
