Bears defeat Bemidji for 2nd time in five days; advance to NSIC semifinals.

Concordia broke the 100-point barrier for the third time this season and closed out their home season with a perfect 13-0 record, defeating Bemidji State 102-80 in the first round of the NSIC Tournament.

Six different Bears scored in double figures, led by Jennifer Pozzani's 19 points (7 of 12 from the field). She also had four rebounds and four steals. Ashley Smith scored 17 points and had eight rebounds. Desirae Jones came close to a triple double with 14 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Nakia Carlisle scored 12 points, and Carly Christensen and Hiedi Gill each had 11 points. Katie Laviolette came off the bench with six points and tied for a team high with seven assists.

Concordia out rebounded the Beavers 44-28, and the Bears defense had 17 steals and forced 26 Bemidji State turnovers. The Golden Bears move onto the semifinals of the NSIC Tournament and will face Wayne State at 2:00 on Saturday, March 5 on the campus of MSU-Moorhead.
