Minnesota Crookston cut the lead to one late in the 2nd half, but free throws by Brian Jamros and a missed shot at the buzzer by the Golden Eagles gave Concordia a 77-74 win Friday night.
Jamros led the Bears' attack with 24 points, including six three-pointers. Justin Vandenberg was also a threat from the floor, as he scored 20 points on six of seven shooting (4-4 from three). Kyle Marxhausen was one point shy of his third double-double of the season, scoring nine points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Kenneth Pointer chipped in with 13 points and also added four steals before fouling out late in the contest. Concordia hit a season-high 12 three-pointers on the night.
Concordia moves to 16-10 on the season and 6-7 in the NSIC. They are currently tied for 4th place in the conference with Wayne State.
