Senior guard Brian Jamros drilled the game-winning three as time expired to lead Concordia-St. Paul (15-10, 5-7 NSIC) over Southwest Minnesota State (10-17, 4-8 NSIC) 74-72 Saturday night in Marshall, Minn. Jamros scored 29 points, hitting seven threes in the victory as Concordia moves back into a fourth-place tie in the Northern Sun standings.
Jamros was 9-15 from the field, 7-12 from three-point range, and 4-5 from the stripe while snagging a pair of steals in 38 minutes to lead Concordia. Sophomore Kyle Marxhausen added 12 points and eight rebounds, while junior Kenneth Pointer dropped in 13 points.
The win for Concordia puts them back in a tie with Wayne State, who fell at home against Winona State.
