Jennifer Pozzani scored 12 points, putting her at 1,474 for her career and passed Lisa Harfield's 1,469 for first all-time as the Bears climbed within one game of first-place MSU Moorhead by defeating the Dragons 75-66 Saturday night.
Carly Christensen was the Bears' leading scorer, as she poured in 22 points on 8 of 15 shooting and also pulled down seven rebounds. Nakia Carlisle scored 16 points off the bench and also had four steals in the game. Along with her 12 points, Pozzani also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
The Concordia defense swarmed MSU Moorhead all night, scoring 26 points off 18 Dragon turnovers. The win is the 6th straight for Concordia and brings them within one game of NSIC-leading MSU Moorhead with four games remaining in the regular season for each team.
The Golden Bears take to the road for the last time in the regular season February 18-19 with games at Wayne State and Southwest Minnesota State.
