Winona State handed the Bears their third straight NSIC road loss 77-65 in Winona Saturday night. Senior Justin Vandenberg had a team-high 23 points on 9-12 shooting, including 5-6 from the free-throw line.
Winona State scored the first two points of the game, and the Bears tied it at two. After that, Winona never trailed. The Warriors stretched the lead to as many as 11 points, and the Bears never got closer than four points at 55-51 at 9:12 of the second half.
Brian Jamros had 15 points, and Kyle Marxhausen added 12 in the loss.
For the game, the Bears shot 23-49 (.469) from the field but were outrebounded 37-24, allowing 16 second-chance Winona State points.
Concordia will return to action on Feb. 1, when they will face Upper Iowa at the Gangelhoff Center at 8:00.
