The Golden Bears (2-3) ended their three-game skid with an impressive 4-0 victory on the road against Northwestern College (1-3) Tuesday afternoon in Roseville, Minn.
Sophomore
Rachel Flaherty scored the Bears' first two goals within six minutes of each other at 37 and 43 minutes in the first half.
Lyndsey Hartleben assisted on both goals.
CSP outshot Northwestern 20-2 in the first half and 33-4 in the game. The Bears opened strong in the second half, as
Ashley Gonsior drilled a line-drive kick, after a pass from Hartleben, from the left side of the box three minutes into the second half to put the Bears ahead 3-0.
Hillary Johnson rounded out Concordia's scoring with a goal at the 57 minute mark off of an
Angie Rockney pass.
Kara Gamboni recorded her second shutout of the season, and the Bears defense limited Northwestern to just one shot on goal.
The Bears return home to Concordia Field on Saturday when they host Upper Iowa at 2:00 pm.
