The Golden Bears won their second straight game to even their overall record at 3-3 with their 2-0 victory against Upper Iowa Saturday afternoon at Concordia Field.
The game was tied going into halftime despite the Bears having a 14-5 advantage in first-half shots and 5-0 edge in corner kicks.
In the 60th minute, senior
Angie Rockney broke the scoreless tie with her third goal of the season. It was assisted by freshmen
Ashley Steinle and
Hillary Johnson. The score remained 1-0 until the 83rd minute, when senior
Bethany Walter scored her first goal of the season. The assist came from junior
Lyndsey Hartleben, her fourth assist of the week and her fifth of the season.

Kara Gamboni recorded her second straight shutout, while the defensive tandem of All-Conference seniors
Lyndsey Gagas and
Maria Radmacher limited the Peacocks to just three shots on goal, all in the first half.
For the game, CSP outshot UIU 30-6 with an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Bears return to action tomorrow when they head on the road to take on UW-River Falls at 1:00 pm.
