The Concordia soccer team picked up its first win of the season with a 3-0 win over Northwest Missouri State in the opening game of 2004. Sophomore
Rachel Vitense had a goal and two assists in the game.
The two teams played nearly 68 minutes of scoreless soccer before
Lyndsey Hartleben found the back of the net at the 68:05 mark. Six minutes later, freshman
Ashley Steinle scored her first career goal after getting a rebound off a Vitense shot that rebounded off the top of the crossbar. The Bears' third goal was scored by Vitense in front of the net off a cross-field pass from
Maria Radmacher.
Ashley Steinle also had an assist on the play.
The Bears will play South Dakota at home on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
