Senior Brian Jamros scored a game-high 18 points and sophomore Kyle Marxhausen added a double-double as Concordia-st. Paul (5-1) rolled past Bethany Lutheran College (0-5) 78-50 Thursday night in Mankato, Minn. on the campus of Bethany Lutheran College.
Jamros connected on three three-point field goals and grabbed four rebounds to lead the golden bears while Marxhausen scored 11 points and pulled down ten rebounds (5 off., 5 def.). Marxhausen was 5-12 from the field, but was 4-5 from inside the arc. Senior Justin Vandenberg was the third CSP player in double-figures, scoring ten points and pulling down four boards.
Sophomore Joey Peel had team-highs with three assists and three steals and also scored five points off the bench. Sophomore Marlon Walker was clutch at the line, hitting 5-6 and scoring nine points along with four rebounds and two steals.
Concordia dominated the glass, outrebounding BLC 42-23 while the CSP defense forced 18 turnovers.
The Golden Bears stay on the road as they return to action Dec. 11 when they take on North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D. at 7:00 p.m.
