Carly Christensen became the 18th Concordia player to score 1,000 career points in leading the Bears to a 86-54 win over Nova Southeastern in the 2nd annual Holiday Isle Classic in Islamorada, Florida. Carly tied a career-high with 30 points, making 11-17 from the field and 8-8 from the free throw line. She also added six rebounds and three assists in the win. She was also named to the All-Tournament Team.
Ashley Smith was the only other Bear to score in double-figures with ten. Heidi Gill led the bears with seven rebounds, while both Kayla Christensen and Jennifer Pozzani contributed five assists.
For the game, CSP shot .435 from the field (30-69) and .786 (22-28) from the free throw line. The Bears caused 31 NSU turnovers and had 19 steals in the game.
Concordia improves to 5-2 on the season and will host MSU-Mankato at 6:00 in the Gangelhoff Center.
