No. 8 Minnesota Duluth (21-4, 8-2 ncc) snapped no. 4 Concordia-St. Paul's (27-2, 14-0) 21-match winning streak Tuesday evening at the Gangelhoff Center in a five-game thriller in front of a noisy crowd of 612 fans. The Golden Bears were ahead two games to zero, but the Bulldogs came back and pulled out the victory, 27-30, 23-30, 30-28, 30-25, 15-13 in a battle of the North Central Region's top two teams. The 21-match winning streak tied the longest in school history, originally set last season.

Tia Lindberg and NSIC Player of the Year
Joy Wubben, who each had 19 kills. Lindberg hit a team-high .441, needing just 34 attacks. Sophomores
Ashley Olson and NSIC Libero of the Year
Megan Graham each surpassed 20 digs, Olson with 21 and Graham with 20. Olson also picked up a double-double, as she pitched in 10 kills. Sophomore
Jessica Lucia also added a double-double for the Bears as she added 12 kills and 15 digs. Sophomore
Kelsey Kyro had 16 kills and a game-high nine total blocks. Junior setter
Cailin Terhaar, a junior, racked up 65 set assists and picked up 12 digs for the third Golden Bear double-double of the contest.
The Bulldogs were led by Callie Zwettler with 20 kills and nine digs and Rachel Langseth who pounded away 17 kills with a game-high .552 hitting percentage. Libero Allison Boddy led the team with 21 digs, while Chelsea Meierotto had 18.
The Bears outhit the Bulldogs .236 to .207, and outblocked them 12-7, but Minnesota Duluth peaked at the right time, coming back from an 8-5 game five deficit to seal the match.
Concordia-St. Paul is back in action at home on Thursday evening, as they play host to the first-ever NSIC Volleyball Tournament at the Gangelhoff center. They will take on the eighth-seeded Northern State Wolves at 7:30 p.m.
