Concordia University began their 2004-2005 season with a win against WIsconsin-Parkside 68-56. The Bears were led by four who scored in double figures with Kyle Marxhausen leading the way with 13 points. Brian Jamros and Marlon Walker chipped in with 11 points each and Aaron Ackerson added 10. Marxhausen and Justin Vandenberg each had eight rebounds.

The Bears shot a blistering 50.0% in the game and were 20-25 (80.0%) from the free throw line while holding UW-Parkside to just 36.2% from the field.
