The Concordia offense tied a school record, putting 63 points on the scoreboard in a 63-21 win over Southwest Minnesota State in the final home game of the season. Senior
Sam Blocker had a career-high 118 yards rushing a three touchdowns to lead the Bears.
Concordia opened the game with a blocker touchdown less than three minutes into the game and never looked back. Concordia scored the first 28 points and led 42-7 at halftime.
For the eighth straight game the offense totaled more than 400 yards of offense, totaling 551 in the game, while holding SMSU to 214 yards of offense. They also had 224 yards rushing in the game.
James McNear completed 8-14 passes with one touchdown.
Wesley Hill had two catches, including a 57 yard reception and
Montez Bridgeforth had two catches, including a 41-yard touchdown.
Matt Ledbetter led the CSP defense with 11 tackles (3 solo, 8 assisted), including four for losses and 2.5 sacks. The Bears recorded seven sacks in the game and caused five Mustang turnovers.
Concordia will conclude the 2004 season at the Metrodome on Nov. 6 at 1:30 against Winona State.
