The Concordia soccer team suffered a heart-breaking 1-0 loss to Northern State Saturday afternoon. In what turned out to be a defensive struggle, Northern State scored in the 88th minute to give the Wolves the win. The loss ended Concordia's three-game winning streak.
The only goal of the game came at 88:56 of the second half when Kathleen Acunto booted one into the corner of the net. Concordia was outshot 20-8 in the game and managed only three shots on goal.
Kara Gamboni had eight saves in the game for Concordia.
The Bears fall to 8-8 (2-1 NSIC) and will play at MSU Moorhead on Oct. 17 at 1:00.
