Steve Lydon

Steve Lydon returned to the Concordia football staff for his second term with the program. He'll coach the wide receivers in his return to the Golden Bear sidelines.

Lydon was with the Golden Bears for four years in the program's infancy at the Division II and NSIC levels from 2000-03, culminating with helping Shannon Currier guide the team to its first NSIC Championship in 2003.

He's made multiple coaching stops in the Twin Cities metro at various levels since, heading to the MIAC with St. Olaf in 2004-05 as the offensive line coach. He also coached the wide receivers at Hamline (2006), coached the wide receivers and was special teams coordinator at Augsburg (2008-09) and returned to Hamline to work with the wide receivers in 2011.

Additionally, Lydon has coached at the prep ranks with Edina High School and St. Bernard's High School.

Steve and his wife Jane reside in Edina and have three children: Timothy, a student at Saint John's University; Tess, a student at Beloit College and Joseph, who will graduate from Edina High School in the spring of 2016.
