Matt Dovenberg

Matt Dovenberg began his first year on the Concordia football staff during the spring season in 2014. He coaches the wide receivers and serves as an offensive graduate assistant for the program.

He came to the Golden Bear football staff after working with the University of Minnesota football program for three seasons. After spending a majority of his first two years as a video assistant with the program, he was promoted to a student offensive assistant coach position in the spring of 2013, primarily working with tight ends during position meetings and individual drills among many other responsibilities in the program. He also worked on opponent film breakdown and scouting reports with the Gopher staff.

He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2014 with a degree in sport management and will pursue a master's in sport management at Concordia.

The Decorah, Iowa native is the son of Richard and Marian Dovenberg. He has an older brother, Mike and is one of three triplets along with sisters Kate and Liz.
