Joe Lardinois joined the Concordia football staff in May of 2014. Lardinois coaches the defensive line along with special teams coordinator and recruiting coordinator duties.

Prior to joining Concordia's staff, he spent three years as co-defensive coordinator at Minnesota State University Moohread.

As co-defensive coordinator for the Dragons, Lardinois worked directly with the defensive line and linebackers and was responsible for run / protection breakdown while fluent in multiple protection schemes.

Prior to his defensive coordinator position, Lardinois was a graduate assistant at the University of Minnesota Duluth where he assisted in the defensive gameplan development and coordinated recruiting weekends for the Bulldogs. He also assisted the UMD football staff with coaching clinics and team camps and coached on both NCAA Division II National Championship teams.

As a player, Lardinois was a three year starting defensive end, senior captain and four year letter winner at North Dakota State University. He was a two-time All-Missouri Valley Conference selection as a junior and senior. As a junior, he led the league in tackles for loss and tied for the league lead in sacks.

After his senior season, he participated in tryouts with the Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers.

He earned a degree in sport and recreational studies from NDSU in 2009 and completed his master's degree in educational leadership from Minnesota Duluth in 2013.

Lardinois is originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin where he played with Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay as a prep athlete.
