Whitney Meierotto-Simon

Whitney Meierotto-Simon enters her sixth season as an assistant coach for the Concordia-St. Paul volleyball program in 2025, earning a promotion to the program's full-time assistant position prior to the 2024 campaign.

She returned to Concordia as a coach after a decorated playing career that earned her a selection into the CSP Hall of Fame in 2020.

After transferring to Concordia from the University of Minnesota Duluth prior to the 2007 season, Meierotto-Simon stepped in and made an immediate impact, earning national recognition in both her seasons on campus while helping the volleyball program claim its first two national championships, opening up a run of seven consecutive national titles.

An extremely versatile player, the Washburn, Wisconsin native (Washburn High School) is one of just six players in program history to tally both 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs, finishing with 1,181 kills and 1,312 digs between her time at CSP and UMD. Incredibly, Meierotto-Simon ranks in the top eight in career service aces per set (third with 0.37), kills per set (fifth with 3.47) and digs per set (eighth with 3.74) at Concordia.

She has also accumulated key experience as a coach with MN Select Volleyball Club (Maple Grove) as associate director and travel coordinator since 2020. She has taken the lead in planning, coordinating, and the communication of travel details for all 62 teams within the club (boys & girls). She also assists in the planning and building of all team competition schedules which include both local and national events, is involved in coach development as a mentor, guiding coaches throug the competitive and different league schedules throughout the year, as well as website management.

Meierotto-Simon, who earned her BBA degree from CSP in 2009, is married to former CSP football standout, wide receiver Calvin Simon (BA '09, MA '12), and has two kids: Cyrus and Winnie Jo.
