Ted Trzynka has served as head athletic trainer at Concordia University since 1999 when the University moved to NCAA Division II.
Trzynka is a certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and is registered by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. He is a certified professional rescuer by the American Red Cross.
Prior to coming to CU, Trzynka was a graduate assistant and clinical instructor at Kansas State University, where he worked with the football and track & field programs.
Working with an elite Division I athletic department, Trzynka had the opportunity to work the 1997 Fiesta Bowl, the 1998 Alamo Bowl and was the lead athletic trainer for the 1998 Big 12 Conference Track & Field Indoor Championships.
Along with his duties as athletic trainer, he also serves as an instructor in the kinesiology department. A native of New England, N.D., he holds a degree in athletic training from the University of North Dakota and a masters degree in education from Kansas State.
He and his wife Jackie reside in Maple Grove, Minn. They have two sons, Nicholas and Matthew.
