Rick Pickett joined Concordia's softball coaching staff prior to the 2019-20 academic year and will primarily working as the program's hitting coach.
An accomplished coach in all aspects of the game, Pickett brings 15 years of club softball experience to the program and has coached and mentored numerous players who have advanced to all levels of college softball.
His involvement at the club level has been transformational, helping to start and run the Minnesota Blizzard club team for several years while competing at some of the highest levels in the U.S.
He also started and currently oversees the Minnesota Magic organization which consists of five teams in various age groups, also serving as Director of Player Development for the Magic.
He is a Woodbury, Minnesota resident with his wife, Coreen and two daughters, Carley and Christina, both student-athletes in the Augustana University softball program where Carley played four years with Christina entering her senior year in 2019-20.
