Maggie Lombardi enters her first season on the pool deck for the Golden Bears in 2026-27 as the program’s diving coach.
Lombardi comes to Concordia after spending four years as a member of the Augustana University swimming and diving team from 2022-26. During her career, she was part of three NSIC championship teams and earned NSIC All-Academic Team honors three times from 2024-26. She also received the NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic Award and recorded three individual top-12 finishes at the NSIC Championships. She finished her career with three all-time top-10 performances at Augustana in the 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke and 200 butterfly.
Prior to joining the Golden Bears, Lombardi began her coaching career as an assistant coach with the Sea Devils Swim Club from 2020-22. She also spent four summers teaching swim lessons to children ages 3-8.
Lomabrdi graduated from Augustana in May 2026 with degrees in mathematics and data science, earning magna cum laude honors. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in data science at Concordia.
A native of St. Michael, Minn., Lombardi attended St. Michael-Albertville High School, where she competed on the swimming and diving team for six years. She was part of an All-American relay as a freshman and was a four-time participant at the MSHSL Girls AA State Championships. She also gained additional experience through volunteer work as an ACE ambassador, assisting international students, and with the Augustana Access Program.
