Joshua Culliver joined the Concordia baseball coaching staff for the 2023-24 academic year as a graduate assistant where he'll be assisting pitching coach Derek Dahlke with the CSP pitching staff.
Prior to joining Concordia, the Omaha, Nebraska native began his coaching career as an assistant coach at North St. Paul High School during the 2023 season, serving as Director of Player Development as well as infield and pitching coach. He also gained experience in the fall of 2022 with Northstar Baseball Program as a pitching instructor, coaching the Northstar National 17U Team as the squad's pitching coach.
A graduate of Creighton Prep in Omaha, Culliver helped the program to a pair of state championships in 2016 and 2017. Following his prep career, Culliver went on to pitch for the University of Minnesota (2017-22), winning the 2018 Big Ten regular season, 2018 Big Ten Tournament and the 2018 NCAA Regional in Minneapolis. As a Golden Gopher, Culliver pitched in 60 games including 18 starts, striking out 111 batters with a 4.60 career ERA.
Culliver is working towards a master's degree in exercise science at Concordia.
