Derek Dahlke joined the Concordia-St. Paul baseball coaching staff as the full-time pitching coach in the summer of 2022.
Dahlke joined the Golden Bears with a strong knowledge of the NSIC having pitched for Augustana before coaching at Southwest Minnesota State and Bemijdi State.
The Belle Plaine High School graduate made 62 career appearances for the Augustana Vikings on the mound from 2014-19, tallying a 4-1 record with a 4.20 ERA over five seasons. In his final two seasons on campus, he helped the Vikings to a 2018 National Championship and a 2019 NCAA Super Regional appearance.
After earning a degree in Physical and Health Education from Augustana, Dahlke spent two years working as a graduate assistant at Southwest Minnesota State, helping the pitching staff to the two best K/9 marks in program history. He earned a master's degree in Physical Education Coaching of Sport during his time at SMSU.
Dahlke continued his coaching career as the pitching coach for the Rochester Honkers in the Northwoods League in the summer of 2021 before joining Bemidji State's staff in the fall of 2021. In his one season with the Beavers, he helped the pitching staff lower their team ERA by nearly three runs while tallying the third most strikeouts in school history and the best BB/9 since 2004.
