Ben Diers returned to the Concordia athletic department in the role of Associate Director of Athletic Communications in September of 2024. Diers previously worked as a Sports Information Intern and Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Concordia from 2018-2021.Â
Diers' duties include the management and production of internal webcasts for select sports, while also assisting the athletic communications office in all areas including management, training, and leadership with student interns and graduate assistant staff.
Prior to his return to Concordia, Diers served as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Augsburg University (Minn.) for three years. While at Augsburg, Diers worked as the primary contact for volleyball, men's and women's cross country, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's and women's track and field, and baseball, while assisting with efforts for all 22 of the university's varsity programs.Â
Diers has also gained experience in the profession working various sporting events in multiple roles for the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) at state tournaments. Additionally, he works as a gameday inputter for the St. Paul Saints, the AAA affiliate of the Minnesota Twins.
He is an active member of College Sports Communicators (CSC).
The Oak Grove, Minnesota native graduated from Concordia-St. Paul in the spring of 2020 with a degree in communication studies. Diers resides in Ramsey, Minnesota.Â
