Matt Fleigle joined the Concordia-St. Paul track & field coaching staff prior to the 2017-18 season working with the pole vaulters.
Prior to joining the Golden Bears, Fleigle spent 11 years coaching at Mounds View High School. He helped guide the team to seven Suburban East Conference Championships, 11 True Team Section Championships and four True Team State Championships. His vaulters picked up 18 All-Section selections as well as nine All-State selections and a State Champion.
Fleigle is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Kinesiology and has been pursuing his career in the personal development world ever since. He has worked as an Aquatics and Fitness instructor as well as a Sports Performance Coach. Fleigle is Crossfit level 1 certified, USA Track and Field level 1 certified, USA Weightlifting level 1 certified, and is pursuing his Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist as well.
Fleigle is married to CSP alum and current record holder in the pole vault, Esther Fleigle (Jandrich). Together they opened their own pole vault club, Fleigle's Flyers.
