Justine Jones

Justine Jones enters her second year as a graduate assistant coach for the soccer program in 2013. Jones assists with student-athlete recruitment, serves as the team's travel, equipment and strength & conditioning coordinator in addition to daily administration of the soccer program.

The Richland, Wash. native is no stranger to the Northern Sun, having graduated from the University of Minnesota Crookston as a two-time All-NSIC Third Team performer for the Golden Eagles. She was a senior captain and the team's leading scorer with eight goals as a junior while earning Athlete of the Week honors once.

Prior to UMC, Jones began her college soccer career at Walla Walla Community College in her home state. She was a two-time NWACC All-Star Team selection and helped Walla Walla CC to back-to-back runner-up finishes in the NWACC Championship while serving as team captain as a sophomore.

As a prep on the pitch, Jones was a four year varsity performer, breaking the team record for most goals in a game in her freshman year with six while helping Richland HS to a third place finish at state as she earned All-Conference honorable mention honors. As a sophomore in 2002, Jones was an All-Conference First Team player as she led the team to a state championship, as they captured regional, district and conference titles along the way while also being named Academic Champions. After her junior year was marred by a broken leg, she came back for another All-Conference First Team season as a senior while leading the team to a district title. She also earned Athlete of the Week honors twice as a prep.
