Emily Roussel joined the Concordia-St. Paul women's lacrosse staff in the summer of 2016-17 as an assistant coach and midfield/draw coordinator.
A native of Georgetown, Texas, Roussel wrapped up an All-America career at Tiffin University in the spring of 2016, earning a business administration degree in marketing with a minor in communications (leadership studies/hospitality & tourism). While a student-athlete at Tiffin, Roussel also gained experience working as an academic and faculty services student worker and has background as an assistant lacrosse coach from the Texas Outlaws, Texas Play Hard Lacrosse Club, West Ridge Lacrosse Camp and Georgetown Lacrosse Camp.
A member of the Tiffin Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Roussel was also involved on campus in Business Summit to Success, Green and Gold Awards Committee and Athletes in Action.

The well-rounded student-athlete was named Tiffin University’s Scholar Athlete in 2016 following being named the program’s second IWLCA All-America selection, being named to the second team. She’s a two-time GLIAC Attacker of the Year, a four-time All-GLIAC performer (three-time first team) and the only player in program history to become a two-time IWLCA All-Region pick.

A three-time GLIAC All-Academic Excellence honoree and recipient of the 2016 GLIAC Commissioner's Award, Roussel compiled 282 career goals which ranks third in Division II history and second in program history and her 348 career points also rank second in program history and 12
th in Division II history. Statistically, Roussel sits fourth in career assists (66), third in ground balls (175), and is the all-time leader in caused turnovers with 77 in Tiffin University history.
As a senior in 2015-16, Roussel was second in the country with 76 goals and third in Division II with 4.22 goals per game, also ranking seventh nationally with 69 goals as a junior, third as a sophomore with 74 goals and 14th in the country with 63 goals as a freshman when she earned Synapse Sports Women's Lacrosse.com All-Rookie recognition. Throughout her career, Roussel ranked in the top-10 of NCAA Division II six times and in the top-15 12 times.
Roussel is working towards a master's degree in leadership and management at Concordia.
