George Shortridge joined the Concordia golf program as an assistant coach in the winter of the 2015-16 academic year.
Inducted into the Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame in 1998, Shortridge has been the foremost professional golfer in Minnesota, accumulating 29 major titles in Minnesota with 73 top-10 finishes in 122 chances. Shortridge has won the Minnesota PGA Championship six times, the Minnesota PGA Championship Match Play eight times, the Minnesota State Open three times and the Minnesota Golf champions three times. After a year on the PGA Senior Tour in 1994, Shortridge returned to win five senior titles including the Minnesota Senior Open in 1995 and 1996.
