Coach Laura Heise

Laura Heise

Laura Heise enters her second season with the Concordia softball coaching staff in the 2017-18 academic year as a graduate assistant and pitching coach.

She was inducted into the College of St. Scholastica Athletics Hall of Fame in her first year of eligibility in the fall of 2016 and is the only player in Saints softball history to be named a NFCA Division III All-America First Team selection (2006). She was also NFCA All-America Second Team and an NAIA All-American in 2004 and was the 2004 NAIA Region Player of the Year.

She was a four-time UMAC Player of the Year and holds program records in 17 different statistical categories. She led the nation in strikeouts twice (2004 & 2006) and ranks eighth in NCAA Division III history in career strikeouts and is fifth in lowest career ERA.

She compiled 10 career no-hitters and hit 30 career home runs.

Prior to joining Concordia's staff, Heise worked on the coaching staffs at Macalester College, Augsburg College and Wayzata High School.
