Jonte Flowers joined the CSP coaching staff in the 2019-20 season after a successful professional playing career.
Flowers has NSIC roots as he starred at Winona State University during his collegiate career and led the Warriors to two NCAA Division II National Championships, one NCAA runner-up, four NCAA Tournament appearances, three North Central Regional crowns, four NSIC Conference Titles, and three NSIC Tournament Titles. During Flowers’ sophomore-senior seasons, the Warriors set a men’s NCAA Division II record winning 57 consecutive games.

The list of individual accomplishments for Flowers is equally as impressive. He is remembered as the king of thieves at the Division II level after concluding his career as the all-time steals leader with 414. That record remains and has Flowers ranked 2nd all-time in steals at any level of NCAA competition.

Flowers was named to numerous All-American squads during his career and is the only player in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) history to be named Defensive Player of the Year in four consecutive years.
Flowers was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Elite Eight while leading his team to the 2008 National Championship.

Flowers then embarked on an eleven-year professional playing career throughout Europe. Flowers won two championships in Romania, was named Player of the Year in both Sweden and Romania and earned many other accolades during his career.

Flowers, a Madison, WI native, earned his degree from Winona State in 2009. He remains active on the basketball scene. Flowers works with the Minnesota Timberwolves/Lynx Basketball Academy, Minnesota Youth Athletics Services, and other groups, focused on developing young players and sharing his love of the game. Flowers lives in Burnsville with his wife, Jennifer, and two children, Ayanna (8) and Kellen (4).
