Chad Behnke

Coach Behnke is in his second year as head strength and conditioning coach for Golden Bear athletics in 2014-15, supporting all 15 varsity programs. 

Previously he served as Concordia's graduate assistant strength coach under Mike "The Superstar" Morris, completing his master's degree in 2014.

Prior to joining Concordia's athletic department, Behnke spent nine years outside of the coaching world with his family owned
Construction Company based out of the Twin Cities.

From 2003-2004, he played professionally for the National Indoor Football League (NIFL) as an offensive linemen for the Tri-City Diesel out of Kearney, Neb.

He graduated from Concordia in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in marketing and management.

He was an offensive lineman for the Golden Bears as a four year starter while earning All-NSIC Second Team, two-time All-NSIC Honorable Mention and was a senior captain. 

The Eagan, Minn. native graduated from St. Croix Lutheran High School where he participated in track, basketball, and football.  As a senior in football he played in the Minnesota State High School All Star game as an offensive linemen.

He resides in St. Paul and his younger sister, Amanda is an assistant coach with the women's basketball team where she was a three year starter and All-NSIC performer as an undergrad.
