Max Weesner joined the Golden Bear coaching staff as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2020. He works primarily with the catchers at CSP.
Weesner began his high school baseball career playing for Coach Neil Lerner at Hopkins in 2012. He started at catcher for the Royals during all four of his years in the program, captaining the team during his junior and senior seasons.
After high school, Weesner attended the University of Minnesota, acting as a student manager and bullpen catcher for the Gophers during his last two years on campus. For the past three summers, he has acted as an assistant coach for the Hopkins Flyers legion baseball program.
Weesner graduated with a B.A. in political science from Minnesota and will be pursuing a Master's degree in teaching at Concordia.
