2015: Played in two games, going 1-3 at the plate ... made debut against Minnesota Duluth (3/28 G2) with first career at bat ... had first career hit against St. Cloud State (4/8 G2), going 1-2.

2014: Redshirted, did not play.

Bies is a two-sport prep athlete as a wide receiver on the football team and outfielder on the diamond, earning two letters in each while earning four academic letters ... helped team to back-to-back section runner-up finishes in 2011 and 2012 ... led the Crimson to a 2011 Northwest Suburban Conference Championship ... well-rounded student-athlete, involved as World History Student of the Trimester, English Student of the Trimester and Health Student of the Year ... also involved with National Honor Society and the Link Crew leadership program for helping sophomores. 

Personal: 
Born January 16, 1995 ... son of Michael and Dana Bies ... has an older sister, Kelsey ... will pursue a double major in mechanical engineering and applied mathematics in a 3-2 program with the University of Minnesota ... a consistent Dean's List student and recipient of Regent's Scholarship ... earned Outstanding First Year Mathematician Award ... his father, Michael, was a catcher on the baseball teams at the University of North Dakota (1982-83) and the University of Minnesota (1984).
