Sea Foam Stadium - Giving Opportunities

"To God be the Glory for Great Things He has done!"

"The mission of the athletic department at Concordia University, St. Paul is to build and maintain academic and athletic excellence. Through participation in intercollegiate athletics, our student-athletes are challenged physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually within the context of the Christian Gospel and in accordance with the mission of the university."  May God bless you Always and in All Ways!

Concordia University, St. Paul is the only NCAA Division II institution in the Twin Cities area and the only private DII athletic program in the state of Minnesota. The athletic teams have produced great results in recent years. Upon making this move to Division II in 1999, the athletic department has also seen an increase in the number of student-athletes. Now well into a second decade of NCAA Division II competition, an on-campus athletic stadium and outdoor track has had significant and far-reaching impact as the Golden Bears have strived to continually reach the next level, athletically and academically.

 INCREASED VISIBILITY
  • Located on one of the highest traffic intersections in Minnesota
  • Will attract large numbers of non-Concordia athletes, parents and spectators from throughout the Midwest, giving many new opportunities for Christian witness
  • High Impact, low cost way to increase campus visibility in the community

 PARTNERSHIPS, SPONSORSHIPS & RENTALS
  • Maximizes existing sponsorships at Gangelhoff Center
  • Appealing location for potential sponsors
  • Year-round facility rentals will increase revenue and add greater community involvement

The location of the stadium provides great exposure for the campus from Interstate 94. There are over 180,000 cars that pass by the site on I-94 and another 16,000 on Hamline Avenue daily, making the stadium a presence for all motorists passing by. During the winter months, the field surface is covered with an inflatable bubble or "mini-dome." This provides an advantage not only for the Golden Bear athletic teams but also the surrounding community, with the facility being capable of remaining open year-round.

 STUDENT RECRUITMENT & RETENTION
  • Gives Christian witness to more students as enrollment grows and diversifies
  • Increases recruitment opportunities as Concordia hosts more high school and local sporting events on-campus
  • Enhances ability to attract and retain student-athletes and general students

 CAMPUS PRIDE & SCHOOL SPIRIT
  • Provides a visible reminder and focal point for school spirit, enhancing campus life for all students
  • Enhances campus pride for Concordia: past, present and future
  • Enhances campus along with other highly visible construction projects: Residence Life Center, Graebner Memorial Chapel, Library & Technology Center
