CSP took an early lead in the bottom of the first inning in game one, but the Husky bats plated 12 runs to take game one 12-4. At the plate Dunlavy put together a 1-for-3 in game two, notching her first career base hit and first of the season with a leadoff single to right in the bottom of the third.

The Golden Bears will look to shake off the loss as they head to Moorhead on Saturday afternoon for a doubleheader with the MSU Moorhead Dragons. First pitch of game one is set for 12 p.m.

Game One: CSP 4, SCSU 12 (5 Inn.)

St. Cloud State opened up the afternoon with a leadoff single to left and double to deep center field to put two runners on with no outs. Later capitalizing on the opportunity with a one out double to the left center gap to open up a 2-0 lead.

The Golden Bear bats responded in the bottom half of the inning with a Alexis Monty leadoff single to right and a Ava Blake four pitch walk. With two on and one out Danni Sharum launched a 1-1 pitch off the facing off the Gangelhoff Center in right for a three-run home run, her team leading fifth of the season to put CSP in front 3-2.

The lead remained until the top of the third inning when the Huskies led off the inning with a single through the left side of the infield. Emmy Bowne retired the next two hitters with a pair of flyouts, but Kaylee Collins smacked a homer to right field to put SCSU back in front.

A missed popup put the next Husky runner on with an advance to second base and St. Cloud capitalized with a RBI single up the middle to take a 5-3 lead.

Danni Sharum singled up the middle with two outs in the bottom half of the inning and advanced to second on the wild pitch but was stranded there.

In the top of the fourth St. Cloud continued to pour it on, putting the first three runners via a single double and fielder's choice. Sydney Roe sent a 2-2 pitch to left center for a grand slam, opening up a 10-3 lead.

St. Cloud added on in the fifth with a two run double to left center to make it 12-3. Lily Burke, Ava Blake and Danni Sharum all worked walks in the bottom of the fifth looking to keep the Golden Bears alive. Katie Klotz coaxed another walk on four pitches to plate CSP's fourth run, but failed to bring home anymore, falling 12-4 in five innings.

Emmy Bowne suffered the loss in game one, giving up eight earned runs on 12 hits in 3.1 innings to fall to 11-11 on the year. Makayla Wigern came on in relief, making her fourth appearance of the season, going 1.2 giving up three hits and two earned runs.

Game Two: CSP 0, SCSU 3

After working around a leadoff single in the top of the first inning, Alexi Monty smacked a leadoff double to the opposite field to get the Golden Bears going in the bottom of the first. CSP couldn't get the opening run across after Aval Blake and Riley Rosenthal hit into a pair of tough outs and the game remained scoreless.

Tatum Dunlavy retired the first two batters of the second on a punchout and a groundout to third, before three straight singles loaded the bases for the Huskies. Dunlavy got the third out of the inning on a grounder to second, stranding all three Husky runners.

Dunlavy put up another scoreless frame in the third picking up back-to-back strikeouts to retire the side in order. Batting for herself, Dunlavy smacked a leadoff single the other way in the bottom of the first to pick up her first hit of the season.

The NSIC leader in ERA Macey Clark continued to tightrope out of danger though stranding two CSP runners. Dunlavy matched Calrk again in the top of the fourth, stranding a pair Husky singles to keep the game scoreless.

Bryleigh Dana shot a one out single down the third base line in the bottom of the fourth and was lifted for pinch runner Amanda Barnacle. Barnacle later swiped second to get into scoring position but was stranded three after a two out pop up.

St. Cloud broke the seal in the fifth with a one out sacrifice fly to center field off the bat of Sydney Roe to make it a 1-0 ballgame.

The slim one run lead remained heading into the seventh inning, when a leadoff Husky double put the insurance run in scoring position. Bethany Weiss homered to straight away right field to open up a 3-0 lead.

CSP went down in order in their final turn at the plate falling, 3-0 and suffering a sweep.
