MAGNOLIA, Ark. — The Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-Central Region teams were announced this afternoon. Concordia-St. Paul guard Lydia Haack and forward Lauren Wilson earned D2CCA All-Central Region Second Team honors, both were named First Team All-NSIC as well. CSP was the only school in the region to have multiple players earn all-region honors.

Haack and Wilson become the fifth and sixth players in program history to earn second-team honors. It is the second consecutive season that the Golden Bears have had a player earn a D2CCA All-Region Selection after Lindsey Becher was named D2CCA All-Central Region First Team last season.

This is just the second time in program history that CSP has had multiple players earn all-region honors, the last was the 2007-08 season when current head coach Amanda Johnson was named to the All-Central Region First Team alongside Katie LaViolette.

Lydia Haack is averaging 18.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game. The senior guard ranks 43rd in Division II in points and fourth in assists this season, on defense Haack ranks third in the NSIC in steals at 2.4 per game.

Earlier this season Haack scored her 2,000th career point and 1,000th with CSP to become the 30th member of the 1,000 point club. Haack also ranks this on the NSIC All-Time scoring list with 1,521 points in NSIC games.

Lauren Wilson is averaging 17.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game this season, while averaging 1.3 blocks and 1.6 steals per game on defense. The junior forward ranks third in the NSIC in rebounding and fourth in blocks, while ranking fifth in the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 49.2% from the field this season.

Wilson has also recorded eight double-doubles this season including a 18 point, 17 rebound effort in the NSIC Championship Game against Minnesota State, to earn NSIC Tournament MVP honors.

Both Haack and Wilson helped the Golden Bears grab their second straight NSIC Championship and trip to the NCAA Central Region Tournament, earning the second seed in the region for the second year in a row.

Talexa Weeter of Fort Hays State was named D2CCA Central Region Player of the Year. The junior leads all of Division II averaging 27.0 points per game, while averaging 8.8 rebounds and shooting 51.2% from the field.

Athletics Communication professionals from NCAA Division II Central Region Schools and conferences selected the D2CCA All-Region teams. The process concludes with All-America selections announced later this month.
