MOORHEAD, Minn. -Â The Concordia-St. Paul soccer team (5-1-5, 4-1-3) wrapped up its road trip through western Minnesota with a 3-0 victory over MSU Moorhead (2-7-2, 0-3-1) on Sunday afternoon at Nemzek Soccer Field.
Following the game, head coach
Steve Bellis stated, "A classy CSP display for 90 minutes. We dominated from start to finish. We head into a great run of big games with the confidence of a six-point weekend."
The win marked the Golden Bears' 17th straight victory over the Dragons in the all-time series.
Three different Golden Bears scored in today's game for the Navy and Gold, with
Sienna Latta,
Sophia Haase and
Ashley Bennett finding the back of the net. It marked the first time this season that three different Golden Bears have scored in the same game.Â
CSP held advantages in shots (24-15) and corner kicks (6-4), while shots on goal were tied at 7-7.
The first half was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams creating opportunities throughout the opening 45 minutes.
Sienna Latta opened the scoring in the third minute, finding the back of the net off assists from
Brooke Nelson and
Breanna Weilert to give the Golden Bears an early 1-0 lead.
Sophia Haase added another goal in the 16th minute, scoring her 10th of the season off an assist from
Lexi Pettit to give CSP a 2-0 lead.
The Golden Bears held a slight 10-8 advantage in shots, while both teams recorded four shots on goal. CSP also held a 4-2 edge in corner kicks as they took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
CSP opened the second half looking to build on its 2-0 lead. The Golden Bears continued to create scoring chances, with
Ashley Bennett finding the back of the net in the 77th minute after Jeannette Bermudez set her up right in front of the net. The assist marked the first of Bermudez's career.
The Golden Bears continued to pressure the Dragons offensively, outshooting MSU Moorhead 14-7 in the second half. CSP held on defensively to secure the 3-0 victory over the Dragons.Â
CSP improves to 23-5-2 all-time against the Dragons, winning the last 17 meetings.
Haase scored her 10th goal of the season, becoming the seventh Golden Bear in program history to score 10 or more goals in a season. She is the first Golden Bear to reach double-digit goals since Katie Anderson scored 12 in 2023. Haase currently leads the NSIC with 10 goals and is tied for fourth in the nation in goals.
Latta scored her first career goal for the Golden Bears and finished with four shots.Â
Bennett scored her first goal of the season, marking her sixth career goal for the Golden Bears.
Four different Golden Bears recorded assists in the victory:

Breanna Weilert,
Lexi Pettit and Jeannette Bermudez. Pettit leads the NSIC in assists, while Bermudez recorded the first assist of her career.Â
Sydney Potter made seven saves on 15 shots, marking her fourth game with five or more saves this season.Â
The Golden Bears will continue NSIC play at No. 8 Minnesota State Mankato on Friday, Oct. 9, at 3 p.m. before returning to Sea Foam Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 11, to face St. Cloud State at 1 p.m.
