ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia-St. Paul senior Calder Erick is set to wrap up his collegiate track and field career at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships later this week as he will compete in the decathlon.

The NCAA Outdoor Championships are scheduled for Thursday, May 22-Saturday, May 24 in Pueblo, Colorado on the campus of CSU Pueblo. Decathlon events will begin with the 100m, long jump, shot put, high jump, and 400m on Thursday, May 22 before concluding with the 110m hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin, and 1500m on Friday, May 23. A full schedule of events can be found here. The NCAA Outdoor Championships will be streamed live on NCAA.com with the throwing events streaming on the RMAC Network.

It will be Erick's second appearance in the national meet after he qualified in the heptathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships earlier this year. In that meet, he earned All-America Second Team honors after placing 10th with a total score of 5197 points. The senior ranks 15th in Division II in the decathlon this season, with his top mark of 6918 points coming at the Meet of Champions in April.

Erick is the first CSP men's track and field representative at the outdoor championships since Jakob Tordsen in 2021-22 where he finished fourth in the decathlon. Tordsen also qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in 2022-23, winning the national title in the heptathlon. The Golden Bear women sent at least one representative to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in every year between 2020-2024.
