ST. PAUL, Minn. – Winners of nine of their last 12 NSIC contest, Concordia-St. Paul (15-15, 11-9 NSIC) will head to St. Cloud State (15-15, 11-9 NSIC) as the two teams look to break the NSIC logjam in the league standings with a Wednesday doubleheader at 1:30 p.m. at Joe Faber Field.

SERIES HISTORY: SCSU 42, CSP 19 (1 tie)
Concordia and St. Cloud State have met 62 times dating back to 2002 with 42 of those meetings marked as official NSIC regular season contests.

The last time the teams played, CSP picked up a 6-5 win in the 2024 NSIC Tournament in Mandan, North Dakota.
In the series, Concordia has played at SCSU for 23 road games, holding a 7-16 road record against the Huskies with the last trip to SCSU for a single-game loss on April 11, 2022 after a neutral site doubleheader in Roseville, Minnesota the day before. Concordia has dropped its last six road games at SCSU, the last win coming on April 7, 2017 in game one of a four-game set.

ABOUT THE HUSKIES
Coming off of a fourth-place finish in the NSIC regular season standings in 2024 (28-11) in which the Huskies finished just a game out of second, SCSU produced a 32-19 overall record but had an 0-2 showing to end their season at the 2024 NSIC Baseball Tournament in North Dakota, eliminated in a 6-5 decision by Concordia.
Entering the season, SCSU was slated fourth in the 2025 NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll in mid-January. In non-conference play, SCSU dropped a pair of 3-game series, picking up one win in each road trip to Missouri Southern State who was ranked #11 in the nation at the time, as well as a 2-1 series loss at Truman State (Mo.). SCSU also split a 4-game series against Adams State (Colo.) played in Phoenix.
The Huskies opened NSIC play in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at Augustana, splitting with the Vikings who were ranked fifth in the country at the time in late February. SCSU has also had to tangle with Minnesota State, who was ranked #10 and #6 in the national polls at the time of the series with MSU picking up a 4-game sweep in St. Cloud at Dick Putz Field, adjacent to SCSU's home of Faber Field.
Aside from the common opponents of Northern State and SMSU, SCSU has also faced Sioux Falls, securing a split in the 4-game road series last month.
Offensively, SCSU is led by Liam Moreno's 1.029 OPS (.352/.467/.562) with a team-high 30 runs, 10-11 stolen bases and tied for team-high five home runs. He's added seven doubles, 18 RBIs, and a combined 26 walks/HBPs. Joining him with five home runs on the year are Ethan Navratil (who has a team-high 34 RBIs) and Hayden Konkol, who each have .949 OPS on the year. Blaine Guthrie leads the Huskies with a .495 OBP, tied with Moreno and Taehyung Kim with a .352 average, as Guthrie has a team-high 17 walks. Wilmis Castro gives the Huskies a deep lineup, leading the team with 11 doubles and is one of seven Huskies producing a .301 or better season batting average, with seven SCSU players also producing a .411-plus OBP and seven producing a .450-plus slugging percentage and eight Huskies producing an .812 or better OPS.
