Golden Bears crack Top 25 for the first time in program history; ranked No. 24 in NABC Coaches Poll

CSP also ranked No. 23 in the D2CSC Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time in program history, the Concordia-St. Paul men's basketball team (18-6, 13-5 NSIC) secured a spot in the top 25 of the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II Men's Basketball Rankings, coming in at No. 24 after receiving 54 points.

The Golden Bears are the lone Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference squad in the poll this week, with both Minot State (21-6, 12-6 NSIC) and Southwest Minnesota State (18-6, 13-5 NSIC) dropping out of the top 25.

Concordia also made its first-ever appearance in the D2CSC Media Poll, coming in at No. 23 with 64 votes and joining No. 22 Southwest Minnesota State as the only NSIC teams in the poll. 

With four games to play, the Golden Bears are currently tied with SMSU atop the NSIC standings with both teams sitting at 13-5 in conference play. Concordia will take on Northern State (S.D.) and MSU Moorhead this weekend at the Gangelhoff Center before wrapping up the regular season at Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston the following weekend.
