Monty earns First Team selection and Scamehorn earns Second Team selection

EDMOND, Okla. - Concordia-St. Paul's Alexis Monty and Annalise Scamehorn were recognized in the D2CCA Softball All-Central Region Teams on Monday. Monty earned First Team honors at third base while Scamehorn earned Second Team honors as a designated hitter. 

Monty was the only freshman named to the First Team and one of four NSIC players on the squad. This is Scamehorn's first All-Region selection for her career, and she is one of five NSIC selections on the second team.

  • Has hit the seventh most doubles in the country with 22, breaking the school record

  • Tallied the second-most runs (56) and hits (85) in program history

  • Stolen a team-leading 22 bases this season, ranking first in the conference

  • Recorded a program-best 30-game hitting streak

  • Ranks third in school history with 117 total bases this season

  • Only struck out four times in 171 at-bats this season, ranking ninth in the nation

  • Had two triples, two home runs and 40 RBIs total this season

  • Slashed .353/.398/.493 this season playing in all 51 games for CSP

  • Put up the 25th-best batting average in the NSIC

  • Tallied 36 RBIs, which is 18th in the NSIC

  • Hit the fifth most doubles in a season in school history (16) and the 10th most in the conference

  • Was the sixth toughest batter to strikeout in the NSIC this season

  • Put up the 16th-best career on-base percentage in program history at .383

  • Finished with the 14th-highest career batting average in school history at .329
