LAST TIME OUT
The Golden Bears bounced back last Sunday and Monday as they claimed a series victory over the Minot State Beavers, 2-1, at the Woodside Sports Complex in Mauston, Wisconsin.

In Sunday's doubleheader, Concordia kicked off the series with a strong showing in game one as they used a six run third inning followed by a home run in the fifth from Mason Nadolney to power past the Beavers.

However, Concordia struggled to find the momentum that they had in game one as they dropped game two of the doubleheader 3-0.

CSP responded with a 9-4 win over the Beavers on Monday afternoon to claim their third conference series of the season. A solo home run from Nick Thimsen put the Golden Bears on the board in the first, while they added five runs in the seventh and three runs in the eighth.

As a team, the Golden Bears slashed .256/.359/.384 with 22 hits, 16 runs, 12 RBIs and 12 walks during the three game series. Six of CSP's hits went for extra bases as they had a pair of home runs, a triple and three doubles.

Thimsen shined for the Golden Bears against Minot State. The junior outfielder slashed .364/.417/.818 after going 4-11 at the plate with a home run and a triple, while also driving in and scoring three runs.

Kal Brohmer was also efficient at the plate with the best batting average on the team of .444 after going 4-9 with three RBIs and two runs scored. The sophomore also walked three times and successfully stole a base.

A total of five pitchers saw the field for Concordia. They combined for an earned run average of 2.88 in 25.0 innings while holding the Beavers to a batting average of .283.

Christian Morel (2-3) picked up his second winning performance of the season for the Golden Bears in the series finale. The junior right-hander provided seven innings of shutout ball with three strikeouts.

Korey Dahlberg (3-3) started on the bump for CSP in game one. The sophomore finished with four strikeouts in 6.0 innings pitched. He allowed eight hits, two earned runs and a walk in the winning effort.

Despite the loss in game two, Jonah Lewis (1-3) had a strong showing on the mound for CSP. The junior pitched 6.0 innings with five strikeouts while allowing only two runs and a pair of walks.

Matt Sherman and Eric Lundell made appearances from the bullpen. Sherman provided 3.0 innings with a strikeout, allowing one run and zero walks. Lundell pitched 1.2 innings, allowing a hit and a run in his two relief appearances.
