LAST TIME OUT
Concordia baseball dropped both games of Tuesday afternoon at Robertson Woods Field as they fell 11-2 in game one and 7-6 in game two to the Upper Iowa Peacocks.

After spotting Upper Iowa nine runs in the opening inning and allowing a pair to cross in the third, the Golden Bears found themselves in a jam and could not capitalize on their momentum throughout the game as they left 11 runners stranded on base in the game one loss.

As a team, the Golden Bears collected seven hits. Jaden Werner led the Golden Bears offensively with a 2-3 outing at the plate, which included a double and a walk for the Golden Bears. Brohmer added a 2-2 performance at the plate with a walk.

Christian Morel (2-4) started on the Bump with 2.1 innings, allowing five earned runs, walking three and striking out one. Reece Piontek remained in the game for the final 3.2 innings, collecting four strikeouts and walking one in the scoreless relief appearance from the mound.

Game two saw multiple momentum shifts with the two teams trading the lead four times in the nine inning affair. CSP collected a trio of runs in both the first and seventh inning, but Upper Iowa sealed the deal with the final run in the eighth to secure game two victory.

Multi-hit games from Brohmer, Juliar, Werner, and Mason Nadolney combined for eight of the team's 10 hits in the contest as each of them finished with two hits apiece. Both of Brohmer's hits and one of Nadolney's hits went for an extra base as a double.

Nick Thimsen added a triple and a team-leading two RBIs, while Brayden Roybal reached safely with a pair of walks.

Four different pitchers saw the mound for the Golden Bears in game two. Gavin Rusch made the start and picked up the no-contest decision after going 5.0 innings with four strikeouts, two walks and zero earned runs allowed. Lundell (2-2) was charged with the loss after giving up one run in the eighth inning.
