LAST TIME OUT
Concordia baseball is coming off a split series with the Winona State Warriors last Friday afternoon at Barnes Field.

Game one saw several momentum shifts and flurries between the two squads, including a late 5-run rally by the Golden Bears. However, a 6-run fourth inning proved to be the deciding factor as the Winona State Warriors took game one, 17-13.

As a team, CSP notched 18 hits with 10 extra base hits. The high scoring did not stop in game two as the two teams combined for 28 runs before the game was halted due to darkness in the seventh inning. CSP scored in each of the six innings played, including a 7-run fourth inning to secure the 16-12 victory.

Concordia collected 15 hits in six innings played. Juliar and Brayden Roybal recorded home runs for the Golden Bears, while Jaden Werner and Thimsen led the team with three hits each. Brohmer reached base successfully on every plate appearance after going 1-1 with three walks and a hit-by-pitch.

Jonah Lewis (3-3) started the bump for CSP in game two. The junior completed five full innings with a strikeout and one walked batter. Matt Sherman and Eric Lundell appeared from the bullpen to combine for an inning of work. Lundell was credited with his fourth save of the season.

Juliar had a career day from behind the plate after slashing .875/.889. /2.125 in the two games combined. The sophomore outfielder went 7-8 with three home runs and a double while driving in eight runners and scoring six runs of his own.

Roybal excelled both offensively and defensively for CSP. The junior second baseman turned a rare triple play after snagging a line drive with runners on first and second attempting to double steal. He added a 4-6 outing at the plate with his first homer of the season, a pair of runs and an RBI.
