LAST TIME OUT
The Golden Bears fell in last week's doubleheader, 2-1, to the St. Cloud State Huskies in Sioux City, Iowa and Wayne, Nebraska. The Huskies and the Golden Bears split Friday's doubleheader, as the SCSU claimed game one and CSP claimed game two in Sioux City, Iowa.

In game one, the Golden Bears were unable to capitalize on their momentum throughout the contest as they left six runners stranded in a seven-hit effort. The Huskies posted 12 runs on 12 hits en route to the 12-1 victory.

CSP responded with a 6-5 win in the nine-inning thriller. Strong hitting from Mason Nadolney, Bryce Nelson and Jaden Werner gave the Golden Bears an offensive edge behind the plate, while Jonah Lewis (2-3) provided 5.0 innings of one-run ball on the mound to secure his second winning performance of the season and Eric Lundell was credited with his second save of the season.

The series finale would go to the Huskies. SCSU jumped out to a 4-0 lead, holding the Golden Bears out of the hit column for the opening five innings. CSP rallied off three runs in the top of the ninth to take a 7-5 lead, but the Huskies secured an 8-7 victory in walk-off fashion.

Nadolney had a solid showing from behind the plate as he slashed .364/.364. /909 in the three-game series against St. Cloud State. The junior recorded a pair of home runs, drove in four runs, scored twice and successfully stole a base on his lone attempt.

Werner was efficient behind the plate, slashing .500/.500/.700 in the three-game series with a pair of doubles and runs, while Brayden Roybal added a double, an RBI and a pair of runs scored.

Lewis (2-3) picked up his second winning performance of the season for CSP. The junior delivered 5.0 innings of one-run ball with a strikeout. He allowed only five hits and walked only one batter.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST UMD
The Golden Bears and the Bulldogs have met 60 times since April 14, 2000, with the series tied 30-30. UMD claimed seven of the first eight matchups in the series, including an 18-1 victory in the inaugural game in St. Paul. However, CSP has claimed eight of the last 10 matchups. CSP and UMD split a doubleheader earlier this season in non-conference action at the U.S. Bank Stadium. Concordia claimed game one, 8-4, and Minnesota Duluth claimed game two, 5-4. Concordia has scored a total of 381 runs with an average of 6.35 runs a game against Minnesota Duluth.
